If you have anything at all in your store, the import may not work.  The order I listed worked for me just now.  It may be that you had the system install a schema for you to start.  Again, peruse all the docs, and let me know where it&#039;s lacking, and I&#039;ll fix it for you.</description>

		<description>Interesting, I&#039;m trying to get a fix on openldap for use with samba. But I&#039;m trying to get openldap for UNIX authentication working first.

On trying to import the ldif passwd file I get the following response:

adding new entry &quot;uid=giles,ou=People,dc=netsecspec,dc=co,dc=uk&quot;
ldap_add: No such object (32)

I don&#039;t have a People ou yet (LDAP directory is completely empty), is there somewhere where this should be created?</description>
